Salesperson Job Description

Blue Collar Engineering and Manufacturing is seeking a salesperson who will have the potential of growing into a sales manager role. We are a mechanical engineering company specializing in the turnkey service of taking ideas for equipment manufacturing from concept to working equipment. 

As a salesperson, you will focus on upselling existing customers, finding, and acquiring new customers in the following areas:

  • Engineering / Design Services - Product Development, Reverse Engineering Services, 3D Laser Scanning, Equipment Layout and Optimization, Drafting Services, and Prototyping
  • Equipment - Turnkey Solutions for production, processing, & packaging equipment
  • Materials - Replacement Parts, Manufactured Parts, Custom Parts, Packaging materials

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in the following areas:
    • Demonstrated and documented sales results, and sales activity/sales funnel management in a sales position that required accountability to quota targets in the areas of growing existing customer accounts and finding and acquiring new accounts
    • The use of a customer and prospect tracking tool such as Salesforce
    • The use of a tool to track and manage sales activities and a sales funnel
    • The mastery of a needs-based selling skills 
    • Preferred 1-2 years of hiring, managing, and coaching other salespeople to high production, which includes a demonstrated and documented increase in sales team performance through hiring and coaching a sales team
  • 1-2 years of sales experience in the industry of manufacturing equipment or a similar industry is required. 
  • A college degree is not required but helpful. Candidates will be required to pass minimum scores on an intelligence test and show a work history of ability to learn complex systems/concepts, problem solve, and work without close supervision. 
  • Compensation will be a base plus commissions. Benefits include: Health, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, & 401k.
